Odyssey Client - the utility AXIM users love to hate. It is rarely used. So it sits, unused, occupying over 2 meg of space on your device. There's no facility to uninstall it. Well, never fear! You can now uninstall that pesky little bugger without having to resort to manually digging it out of your device's filesystem and registry.
OdysseyKill performs the following functions:
- Removes the application and application directory
- Removes a number of small support files
- Removes the registry entries
- Removes the Odyssey Smart Loader that runs when you reset your device
There's no interface on this app, so i can't show a screenshot. It just runs, does it's job, and lets you know to soft reset when you're done. I've tested it on my Axim X30 with no ill effects. | IF you are running WM5, don't bother downloading this. OdyssesyKill DOES NOT work with WM5! For some reason, the folders and application automatically restore from ROM on WM5 devices. You can check out this forum post on aximsite on how to remove Odyssey on WM5.
It does, however, work perfectly on WM2002, WM2003, and WM2003SE!
