Why Don't you just Charge registration Fees?
I think there's enough people charging for software. Personally, i think quality software that does what you need it to should be free. There's nothing worse to me than trying some software that doesn't work as advertised because it's been crippled until it's been registered, or that expires after 30 or 45 days. To me, that means i've wasted my time downloading it, installing it, and learning how to use it. This is a community. We should all share. I'm sharing by investing my limited personal time into developing apps for people, maintianing this web site, etc. Yes, this is a cost. bandwidth, internet connection, and personal labor all cost me money. But i'm not in this to get rich. I'm in it because i love to code and there's nothing like googling your app name and finding it on servers around the world. That's cool.
I'm not going to twist your arm and force you to pony up cash to use my products. They're free. Take them. Use them. Enjoy them. But if you really feel like helping me out, make a donation. I don't care how much. it could be a dollar. Whatever you feel like. Or don't donate at all, but support me by getting the word out about my apps by telling people about them.
